trip to india from mid Dec to mid Feb

Yes, we fly into Delhi, but we are not planning on staying there. Perhaps you and your boyfriend could meet us elsewhere,if you are planning on staying in Delhi for New Years. How long do you plan on staying in India? We will be there for 3 weeks. Our plan is to head south after 1 week in the Northern territory to Mumbai and then to Kerala.

I dont knwo if i should start in the south and head north or vice versa....

I'm going to be in India from around mid-November to mid-March. Starting in Trivandrum and working my way up. I think I'll probably spend Xmas/New Year in Goa but I have no fixed itinerary. I'm going solo so it would be cool to meet up with some folks! PM me if you want to keep in touch!

I'm going back to India for my second visit in early Jan for 2 months - thinking about doing a bit of motorcycle touring. Will also probly be solo this time... if you're interested in riding around on a bike, let me know

Do not worry about frst time travel .

If youhave a travel friend that is good .

Start in south then you will be slowly hardened to travel in north

Hello,
I think you can travel alone. Only the first day in New Dehli at the international airport yes it might be shock for you. Second as most of flights arrives late in Delhi so hard to choose your hotel in the night. People can cheat you easily there.

But the best way to travel in India is by train and some part by bus. Nowadays we have a very good railway net work on the net. Please check www.indianrail.gov.in what you need and where you like to travel and how much cost everything is available.

First plan where you like to travel and search everything on this site. But make your self more strong and courageous for the first day in India at the IGI Airport. Book you hotel in advance and confirm that somebody will pick you. Never imagine that Rs.150 or Rs.200 is good price for hotel in New Delhi. Pay little more to get good services.

As I am in Jaisalmer city of India, I will also suggest to visit Jaisalmer. Especially in December it is the best time to visit Jaisalmer.

Timster, where are you getting the bike from in INDIA? are you renting it. Give me some details. I have motorcycle but I don't think I can bring it with me (quite expensive). But yeah I'd love to join.
