Hello friends, I am looking for trekking partners for Nag Tibba trek from Delhi. Dates are flexible. Maybe first week of November or something like that. After the summit, I want to return to Mussourie and relax before for a night before heading back to New Delhi. I am planning to hire a porter cum guide, around 500/day budget (can anybody provide a number) to carry my rucksack and food. In case I have more people we can get a mule as well which maybe around 700/day. Kindly, let me know if someone wants to do this trek. Also, I didn't find any information about potable water availability on this track. Suggestions are welcome.

Check my post in Info on Nag Tibba Trek thread.

A friendly advice: bookmark http://www.indiamike.com/india-search

Thanks Ashish. I have browsed through those pages. I have also seen your video on Nag Tibba. I saw the places where you showed the water sources that you had along the way. Infact, I was about to contact you as nobody replied.
Which water filter do you suggest? That water looked appeared to be unfit for drinking.
I am planning to buy a rucksack from decathlon store in Delhi. I think between 30-40 L should be sufficient plus a tent.
I still need to contact the porter cum cook who could carry my bag. And I may end up going alone as nobody has responded.

Existing threads have people subscribed to it. IMHO, it is better to revive/use an old/existing thread than create a new one

I use 'Eureka Forbes Aquaguard Personal Purifier Bottle'. Sells for Rs. 600 on amazon.in. Lifestraw is good too. At Nag Tibba temple, I drank directly from the hole. Depends really on our immunity towards pathogens.

Really depends on what and how you pack. Winter clothes + rain gear + extra camp wear + sleeping bag would require at least 40 l or more. And still the tent goes outside the bag. I use a 60 l sack that fits it all. But when I have less stuff to pack, it feels like dead weight to me. The bag (older model) itself weight much. If you are really clueless about it then either research or just go with 40 l. You can always bump it up to 60 l with another addition if you continue to trek.

For a porter, check locally after reaching Pantwari (assuming you are doing it from this route). Alternatively, call on the numbers I've shared before.
For partners, check in the UK trek partners thread as well. Many people watch that thread so your request will get more eyeballs. Also, you'll hopefully bump into other trekkers on the trail. If not anything, go enjoy your own company. Even if you get bored, it is good for you
