Overnight rail early evening arriving early morning. Slept on the platform till dawn. Stayed at a place near the fishermen's village, colorful and aromatic. Have some seafood and go to Konorak..

You can take a train from Hyderabad to Bhubaneswar. The sleeper class will cost you about Rs400/one-way. There are 4 trains which go to Bhubaneswar directly from Secunderabad - Konark Exp, Visakha Exp, East Coast Exp & Falaknuma Exp. From BBSR you can find 100s of buses to Puri throughout the day and 10-15 trains as well. But bus would be much cheaper. It's only 65 Kms.

There are few threads about Puri and nearby areas. Go through them and you'll have a better idea about where to go and what to visit. Few attractions are Konark(35 Kms from Puri, Sun Temple & Chandrabhaga), Lake Chilka etc.

The travelling details are perfect.I suggest you to add Bhubaneswar to your itinerary also.Bhubaneswar is called as temple city.In Bhubaneswar visit Lingaraj Temple,Rajarani Temple,Kedargouri Temple,Khandagiri Caves,Dhauli Shanti stupa and the zoological garden(Nandan Kanan). You can avail the daily tour being organised by Orissa Tourism Development Corporation.
