Travelling on 7th July onwards?

Is there anybody else travelling around India on 7th July onwards who would like to meet up?

Another 'meet-up' would be great but maybe wishful thinking?

It might be good if you let us know where you'll be going, or at least which part of India you'll be in first!
I'm sure there'll be others up for something but it'll all depend where!
Oh, and if you're arriving in July don't forget a brolly... it'll be monsoon galore!

Fair enough - Im going to be down in the South volunteering until around 6th July and then planning on travelling up the west side - Goa, Mumbai and then delhi and the north. But quite honestly I'm not completely sure what my travel itinerary is yet.

Yeah lots of people have commented on the torrential monsoon rain and i'm a bit worried. I mean I know in Thailand it really isnt as bad as people make out - maybe rains a couple hours a day but then clears up.....is India very different?

I will be traveling from Mumbai to Delhi and beyond (i.e. Ladakh), reaching Delhi perhaps in the middle of July. The goal is to escape to the mountains if the rains are particularly uncooperative. Our plans are still in flux.

I will be landing in Delhi on the 20th (maybe 21st) and although unplanned as of yet, plan on heading north. Currently traveling solo but wouldn't mind meeting up if you are interested. My time frame is kinda tight so I can't spend too much time in any one place. Lemme know if you are interested

Hello Xian and Yoge (and whomever else may be reading this)!

I am, indeed, interested in the possibility of joining up. Yoge, I am also on budget and am looking for an authentic experience of Himachal Pradesh (possibly Uttaranchal, too) and not for luxury.

I will likely be arriving in Delhi on July 19th. Reply or message me (is it possible to send private messages?? not sure) if this works with your plans.

Xander

Question July 13- 28 open to do leh by road.

Hi Xander,

Thanks for your interest, Well We are primarily planning to travel to Leh as such, I did dharamshala-Mcleodgnj-Triund (6 days relaxed) last year itself, it was amazing. But july would not be a good time to do western Himachal as mountains are mostly soft (mud) more chances of land slides are very common during monsoon.
We are still looking for travel partners to Leh, in case we could not find any by 15th July then we shall think of changing our plan to re visit himachal P. again. So by the time you will be in India we shall be clear about our destination, if it turns out Himachal then you are most welcome to Join us in delhi and we can plan further. My email id is yogeonline(at)gmail(dot)com.

Keep in Touch.

Xander,

Thanks for your response. I have decided against going to Leh because I only have 16 days in india and the travel time to get to Leh would take up too much of my time. Instead I plan to land in Delhi on the 21st, stay a few days, and head towards Uttarkhand to see the Valley of the flowers. I will be in Delhi from the 21st-24th so if you would like to meet up during that time, I am sure we can arrange something. you can email me at xli3(at)lsuhsc(dot)edu
