Travelling buddies and meeting friends

Hey all,

I know there are similar threads, some I have posted in. Although I am sure to meet many lovely people during my stay in India I very much like the idea of attempting to meet like minded people from this community. Such great spirit and knowledge from wonderful people.

Anyhoo, I plan to arrive in Delhi around the 20th June and will hang around there for a week or so before heading on to Kolkata where I will be volunteering with a charity for about 4 or 5 weeks.

After Kolkata I am pretty much easy on where or what to do... I will most likely return to Delhi and travel around Rajasthan including Jaipur, Udaipur, Pushkar, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Mt Abu and others. Maybe getting up to Amritsar.

I may then depending on time head south to Kerala.

Like I said I don't have a plan, well not really although it may look like I have lol.

Still point being if there are any lone or indeed groups of like minded souls who are about in any of the places I mention would be great to meet for chai or go explore some sights or even do safari... you catch my drift.

Oh, that went well...

Got my date of arrival sorted, not long now. Anyone going to be around Delhi from 20th June? I'll be the one looking well out of place with map in hand and handfulls of cash. Well maybe not.

Going to hang around for a week until I can get train to Kolkata. Anyone for tea?

I to wanted to arrange meet ups with fellow India Mikers before my recent trip as well.
None of them actually panned out tho.
With that said,you will have no problems meeting fellow travellers and a few locals as well.
You will meet them on the train,the bus,your hotel,and wakling around.
Alltho I went to India solo,I met someone at every stop and made the next leg of the journey with them.
So you are right in saying you will meet many wonderful people.
