I'll be in Nepal until July 10th and then I'm going to travel around India, I want to see as much as I can, but I'll only be there a month. My schedule is flexible. I'm 18 years old, looking for someone about my age (early 20's).

I'll be heading for North India (Himachal Pradesh) during the first half of july. I am very fond of travelling and have done so in the past to a large extent. I am 22, and a post graduate student (media studies). May be we can fix up something.

Anne...its wonderful that you are going to visit India. I really hope that you enjoy the indian culture and I hope it will be a wonderful experience but just wanted to tell you two things:
1. july and august is peak monsoon season (rainy season) in most parts of India so be careful about where you want to travel.
2. Insofar, as your travel partner search is concerned, try to stick to someone whom you depend on or you are comfortable with.

Anyways if you need any help or advice on India do tell me...I wish I could also go to India but unfortunately I am stuck in US in Washington D.C. so cant go there any time soon...

hii anne. welcome to im . some of my friends and i am planning to head north around late june/july... dates not finalised as it will depend on time when my friends fly down from europe..we will be covering mostly ladhak, nepal, uttaranchal and north east...hope u catch up with u some time during the travels.

hi, sorry to seem so, hmmmm, clueless, but im planning is poss to go to india for 2 months for july and august, ive literally started looking into it today! have travelled quite abit elsewhere and know how drastically the seasons can cgange your experience, everywhere seems to be saying that its the worst time to travel there due to the monsoon??? is it still possible, how bad should i expect things to be???? sorry if im jumping in on a different subject here! cheers!!!

Hey Gil,
it is the worst time to go because of the monsoon season, but unfortunately it's the only time of year I can travel. I think it will still be worth it to go, just expect rain and flooding.
You should be willing to have a flexible schedule in case you can't travel some places due to floods.

hey all, my friend and i are travelling in India starting in Kolkata and heading west then south between July 17-August 4. we are 24 yrs, recent graduates, it's my second time to india, my friend's first, and we'd be happy to meet up at any point. flexibility and good water shoes i'm sure are needed

Hi Anne,

Will be travelling to Goa from 3rd to 7th Aug towards a friend's wedding... join if you wish to experience Indian Culture and of course the beaches of Goa... will be raining heavily tho' but Goa, usually is fun and won't be hot at least

where r u now days? in Nepal or in India? I m planning my trip from srinagar (kashmir only heaven on earth), sonmarg, daras, kargil, leh, khardung la, nubra, pangong lake, tosomorari lake then back to manali probably in the end of this month. i m planning whole trip on bike. if u really Njoy ride on motor bike then v can patchup the plan accordingly.

starting from jozila pass, ladakh region, lahul sapiti vally but bfore rohtang pass this is the only part of the india where hardly any rain fall due to monsoon in july-august. so no need to wory N see the beauty in ladakh region

am keen on going to spiti valley - the kaza tabo stretch between shimla and manali around the 13th/14th july for 8-9 days...
