Travel Partner - Sept.27-Oct.3 (ish), Dharamsala/Manali

Hi,

I have a week holiday so want to go north! Was thinking of Dharamsala or Manali (or both!), but I'd be open to other suggestions. Would be nice to do a trek for a couple of days too. Anyone want to join me? I'm living in Delhi so would be leaving from here by bus or train (details yet to be sorted out).

i am ajay from delhi too and would like to put my two bits on this...i hope it helps..
when in mcleodganj, do visit the tushita meditation centre, it would be worth going there, so peaceful, so serene...Mcleodganj is the official residence of His Holiness The Dalai Lama, I met him years ago when i was on one of the trips to tushita.A lifetime experience.As for trekking u could go on a one day trek to triund....it is around 10-12 kms from the village Bhagsu.
You will absolutely love the place and it is a foodie's paradise... As for staying , there are n numbers of cheap options.I went to pathankot by overnight train and from there took a bus to dharamshala. From there u could go to mcleodganj which is around 20 kms... if u decide to take a bus then u could get it from majnu ka tilla in delhi....i hope u enjoy the trip best regds ajay

Hi Kuri,

Are you still going to Himachal end of September?
I intend to visit the spiti valley that is reachable from Shimla or Manali and isn't touristic at all.
I've been to Dhr twice, it's great!
