TRAVEL COMPANIONS FOR VOF 24/8/11 ONWARDS.

Hi folks !

My earlier plan from 18th to 26th for VOF was foiled by the weather. As things have improved, I'm planning to leave Delhi by Mussoorie express on the night of 24th, reach Haridwar early morning on 25th and take a bus to Govindghat and O/n. On 26th I'll trek to Ghangaria and partly VOF or HS. 27th will be exclusively reserved for VOF, after which the return starts.

The other alternative is go by my vehicle, Skoda Yeti, but for that the preference will be for companions, preferably knowing driving.

I can be contacted on Nine Eight one zero one double zero double zero six.

Bye!

Hi friends!

I'm today in Joshimath after trekking the Valley of flowers and Hemkund Sahib, and additionally, Badrinath and Mana village, solo. There was a mix of rain and sunshine, more the former, but that'll reduce with the days. Lots of flowers in the Valley, though only about 50% of what would have been had the weather been favorable, but even that was heavenly! I wish my camera could have captured the wonderful fragrance with the pictures!.

Do feel free to ask whatever you may .

Take care!
Bye!

Dear SVR,

I am also a female and planning to do valley of flower after 15th august. Is your plan still on.

Firstly, it is not a strenuous trek. It is 14 kms you can do it in parts. there is a lot of rush of Hemkund on the way, since till Gangaria the route is the same.

You can do Badrinath and also Vasundhara fall with it which originates from Mana. If you have time Swargrohini trek can be done along with VOF.

If the plan is still on let me know about the same.

Hi guys! I am also interested in going but I am not sure when I will be in the neighbourhood exactly. My question is, is this the kind of place where, from Joshimath, groups leave daily to do the same trek? Meaning I do not necessarily have to find a group right now but would be easy to meet people there? And also, is real trekking gear needed or is this a simple trek doable on simple everyday shoes?

Thanks and maybe meet you guys there!

Hello,
I am also planning VOF before 25 August 2012.
Like to travel with groups.
I am from mumbai, so any one who is from mumbai lets share details and plan out the trip, at least 3-4 people can leave from mumbai, rest could join there.. what say..

Hi All,

I am planning a trip around the same, but more emphasis on a panch kedar trek and VOF combined.
See if the iteneary suits you.

Somehow i feel trekking / camping alone may not be a great idea so looking for any travel mates.

VOF only or Panch Kedar, 14 days of leave, 40 confusions.
