Travel Partner, Dec-Jan, Pindari Glacier

During Dec-Jan it will be off season. Last year Dec end, I tried going to Milam but couldn't make it all the way. Pindari is much easier, though. Pindari is something I have in mind.Dec is too for away but I have a winter trek in mind. One thing - You have to find out if you require permits for Pindari.
Reading Jeroen's thread it didn't look like its needed. |

You don't need a permit for Pindari!
I did it in mid april 1998, but could only make it as far as Phurkia as the rest of the trail was snowbound. I believe December-January will be snowbound also! The view from Dhakuri (the first days stop) is awesome. I spent a week there just chilling out before I continued on down the trail. Good luck! ![]() |
