Travel Companion to Pushkar Camel Fair, Nov 2007

Hello

I am planning to do a road trip to Pushkar for 5 days in the third week of November 2007. I am single male, photographer by prof, but on a break from work...

I am looking for an easy going travel companion for the trip. Anyone interested, please write back.

cheers

I might be interested in doing part of this trip especially if it's around a weekend. I'm going to be working in Delhi for the next three months and I want to take some long weekend travelling trips.

Hi Globalroamer,
what type of photos do you take and do you have any posted?
This will be my third time going to the Pushkar Camel Fair and I’ve gotten to know most of the good places for shooting photos there.
I will be landing in Delhi around 1 pm on the 18th, head over to the Red Fort for some quick photo shots, then head to Jaipur for the night and shoot some more photos the next morning before going to the Camel Fair.
I will mostly be shooting 360° virtual reality photos, here is a VR Tour around the Amber Fort and Japur I’m in the process of setting up, but it’s only about half done. http://indiavrtours.com/rajasthan.html

Maybe I will see you in Pushkar!

Cheers,
Cameleer

Pushkar ?

Hi Cameleer and Miss Tess.

Are you people up for camping in the middle of the fair.
I have a 8 people tent, and I am planning to camp in
the middle of the fair on 18,19,20,21,22. These are the peak
camel fair days. I have arranged for food ..

Hit me back at zinzanthropus@aol.com

I am leaving California on 15th Nov and will arrive
in Pushkar on 18th.

Thx.

Dax.

Thanks for the offer, but I already have a hut booked across the street from the fair grounds. It’s nice to be able to take a hot shower after a hot dusty day, and the finer things like having a restroom near by and power to charge up my equipment as needed.
From what I recall the sleeping pads rent for 50rs per night and most of the tents you see out there are rented for 250rs per night. They don’t rent them to tourists but I could have gotten someone to rent one for me.
You will see the shops along the midway where they rent these items.

It should not be hard spotting me at the fair when I have my 17 foot pole up taking pictures. This is what it looks like: http://www.camelphotos.com/india/poleshot.jpg

They were done the same way that I took these shots at last year’s camel fair.

The entire page has not been finished as I ran out of disk space on the server. This is also why I started the new site IndiaVRtours.

Hi A
