Thai-S.China-Tibet-Paki/Nepal-India > anyone game?

anyone interested in doing this route into india w/me? my budget isas close to us10 a day as i can manage. max is us450 (500 ouch!) a month

start in bangkok to pick upchina/paki visas

southern china -2 weeks
tibetan plateau -2 weeks
uighur region -2 weeks
transit (china) -2 weeks
paki/nepal exit -depands on weather and visa issues
transit nepal -1-2 weeks (maybe chitwan)
kkh pakistan -4 weeks incl peshawar

-maybe afghanistan???

ps: train going into lhasa next year, buses from nepal in may perhaps. contact says there are already hordes in the lhasa.

bkk june 15 for staging/visas - move on thereafter

could meet @ phl june15, @ lax june 15 and bkk june16 -

im checking on poss of paki visa in urumqui. if not will need two visas in bkk.

one down thing that im wrestling with is the us120 visa for paki. the china visa aint cheap either -about the same for us yanks. us50 for get this -one month + extentions. these prices are though calling into question the trip because i already have a ten year visa to india.

Hmmm, yea, bummer about visa costs..... If i did the trip, i'd have to reduce my time in India afterwards (want to be there a year), so will probably have to say no - sounds like an awesome trip tho!

im killing this route. visa costs are insane paki = us120 and china appears to be us50 + us50+/- for each extention. also issues of paki visa running out before i get to border -or perhaps to india...

maybe fly to islamabad-afghanistan-peshawar-chitral-gilgit-kkh-[china]-kashgar-hotan-[iff open/possible]-lhasa-circuit area-[nepal]-kth-[india]-sulnali(gag)-varanasi ...

or find a way from nepal to himachal pradesh -
