Is there anyone going from Chennai to Puttaparthy via train on the 16th that would like some company? This is my first time in India and I would love to meet someone on his/her way to Sai Baba's birthday.

It is a little hard to find, as it is set back from the road, but I can give you good directions.

Suggest you phone them rather than email; I've recently corrected the number on the hotel listings on this site. Certainly the easiest thing is to get them to send a car for you.

They are on a very well-known road, close to a landmark every driver knows: the AIDMK office (the currently out-of-power major TN political party).

I havent booked anything but planning on going in february or march of 08 and hoping to find some travel buddies. Enjoy your trip
