Seeking travel partner(s) / new friends

SEEKING TRAVEL PARTNERS FOR JULY AND AUGUST 2009!!

Greetings everyone,

I will be in India for six weeks, starting on 1st July and ending on 10th August. I arrive in Delhi and head to Agra right away that very same day (I figured that I should get the obligatory visit to the Taj out of the way quickly and I know that I will pass through Delhi a time or two later). I head to Varanasi on 2 July, and from there....? My Indian adventure will really start from Varanasi, as from that point I will decide where to go, what to do, what to see, etc. I have some great ideas about a direction to go, etc, but it would be GREAT if I could meet up with other travellers / backpackers who have good advice, and who would like to make a new friend. I am hoping to head towards Kolkata, then up towards Darjeeling, then maybe duck into Nepal, and then head back towards the west and northwest, hitting places along the way. Really, meeting up with folks who have similar (or far better) idea would be really great. Male or female, young or old. I am a curly-haired "Gen-Xer" who loves travelling, seeking new adventures and meeting and making new friends. I am in Paris now for work, and once I leave here at the end of June, I head straight to India!
