Rajasthan Tour: 3 Weeks, from Jan 20th or so...

My girlfriend and I have been living in India since June 2004. We're planning a trip around Rajasthan, starting January 20th or so. We'll probably travel in this region for three weeks or so.

As of now, we are planning to hit the likely spots: Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Jaipur, and Pushkar, spending a few days in each. We'd like to hire a car for certain legs during our travel, so that we can explore the villages near Jodhpur, as well as some of the sites between Jaisalmer-Jodhpur, Jodhpur-Udaipur, and Pushkar-Jaipur.

We'd love to share our travels with folks from this site. If anybody here is interested in travelling together for stretches, please let me know. Our plans should be solidified over the next few days or so. We'll plan certain segments--mainly travel (which is always a hopeful venture here)--and leave some dates open.

Some quick details on us:
--both in our late twenties
--Have lived and worked in Bombay for the past two months;
--prior, spent two months doing the same in Hyderabad; and spent two months travelling around Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, and the Himalayas
--Americans who speak tora, tora Hindi at this point
--become very aware of cipro's power

Hi, I just returned from a similar trip. It was fantastic!! Some of my favorite spots, a little off the beaten path, were Bundi, Chittaugarh and Roopangarh.
