Rajasthan Jan 21st 2011 - Jan 30th 2011

Namaste,

Me and a friend of mine will be traveling from Mumbai on the 21st and reaching Mount Abu on the 22nd.

Anyone interested in joining us are more than welcome. We want to see a lot of palaces, deserts etc. Photography is a common interest. We are both Indians, in our mid 20's & male. We are looking for travel partners to explore Rajasthan since more the merrier!! We do not have any rigid itenary so far, but we wish to hit these three things at a minimum - Mount Abu - Udaipur & the Thar desert.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but, if my memory serves me right, when I went to Mount Abu in the 90's, I found it as more hype and less susbstance kinda destination. It does not have good hill station kind of environment like those of northern hill stations, and neither it has anything of interest like in the rest of Rajasthan. I might not remember it correctly, but veterans - what do you think?

I did look it up on the web now and it shows some jain palace and some sights.
In any case we had planned it for 1 day only.
Does anyone recommend we drop it?
