You'll have to do alot more homework than that. How about starting from the similar links at the bottom of the page?

Hi itraveller and welcome to India Mike!
You might like to browse around the forums which are devoted to the North East, such as "Other Areas", "West Bengal" and "Sikkim". Happy travels!

hello
hello itraveller,
I'm 31, single male professional based in NCR region. I am also contemplating a trip to North East. Duration would be 1 week and I plan to cover parts of Sikkim during this time - I did some quick research and it's less likely to rain around Gangtok in June but July gets very wet - but i could be wrong with that. I can take one week out max though - so leave on a saturday - fly to Bagdogra and return the following sunday. Inbetween, pretty open on suggestions - I would prefer to avoid crowded places though and build in some hiking inbetween. I would also prefer to have a 4+ member group that can travel together. Also, if there's another place in India that can be done in one week that doesnt get as badly soaked in this season (other than Chennai that is ) - i am open to considering that as well. let me know your thoughts. Vaibhav and Sunnyzach, I would be totally up for doing an Assam trip anytime in September, stay in touch if you continue to lean in this way. I'm a foreigner moving to Delhi in a few weeks.
