| mumbai in november? Hello I am planing trip to India, arriving to Mumbai in the begining of november, traveling down the eastern coast for one month. Anybody who is doing same trip same time? I am not so sure about safety, women alone in India? andreja |

| I would suggest having a place to stay already arranged for when you first arrive. I travelled by myself and there were only a few times where I didn't feel safe and they were when I first arrived and had not adjusted. Otherwise, use common sense and you will be fine. |

| I would agree with Casey - book a hotel for when you arrive so you can take a taxi directly there and relax and get your bearings before embarking on your adventure! I'm doing my trip the other way round (from South up to the North). I'll be in Goa though from mid-December to around mid-January if you might want to hook up. |
