| MUMBAI FEMALE TRAVEL MATE (and Amritsar) I am taking the taxi and bus from Dharamasala (McLeod) Monday and headed to Amristar for a few days, then taking bus to Delhi and flying south. Will be in Mumbai for a week in early or late August, before leaving. I am seeking a female travel buddy to hang in the city stay in Colaba and chill and shop. I am a writer looking for work in Mumbai and from Brooklyn, USA. Email me here about Amritsar, or hanging out in Mumbai. Thanks! Alisha |

2. You on a Tourist Visa or E visa ? What kind of work were you hoping to get ?There are writers galore in Mumbai (sorry for being blunt). Trying to write in anything just to make it into Bollywood is what many writers aspire for. 3. If you are not into creative writing; All the tech-firms in India desperately need some good technical writers who write good documentation and manuals 4. Colaba is soo yesterday !! The focus has moved to mahim and beyond. More like Bandra-Andheri 5. You from Brooklyn right ?? Imagine all the tourists from UK/EU who wanna shop in Times Square and and chill in the Village and wouldnt even know Brooklyn except there is the Brooklyn bridge and Brooklyn Mississippi While you are in Amritsar, Eat special Parathas in Amritsar, a basically stuffed bread; Have their famous Chole, and dont forget their Yoghurt drink - Lassi. Do not forget to eat lunch Langar at Harmandir Sahib and finally Amritsari Fish at Lawrence Rd. Key to good food in Amritsar city proper is the Halwaiis which are Sweet Shops. In Mumbai, do check out Gajalee in Vile Parle (E) for malvani style seafood, Great thali (vegetarian) Opp. Mahim Church and diagonal from the Bus Depot.

| I agree with nycank - the train suggested by him is much better than a bus from Amritsar to Delhi - more comfortable and probably faster too.
