Great Plan Guys. Would like to join any other plan if you have like this in coming months as I've already planned for Amarnath in July first week and for this plan I might not get leave from my work.

Please keep in touch for any other event in coming time.

cheers
sunny

Well Manali to Kaza bus leaves at 4 am (thats the scheduled time) but it is mostly late.

Kaza to Tabo leaves at 8 am from Kaza but i suggest u check the timings again.

Kaza to Ki Gompa and Kibber is a 30 minute drive.. i dont think buses go there !!

Kaza to Tabo takes about 3 hrs ... Kaza to Dhangkar about 1:15 hours

please feel free to ask more questions !!

Hey thanks!!
Thats a huge help..
We r gng to do the Batal to Baralacha La trek. And then we r going to go Hitchhiking in Spiti. Want to keep it as cheap as possible.
Can you suggest how to go about it?
Is it better to go by bus for the sightseeing or to hire a vehicle?
In case we hire a vehicle, how much does it cost?
Can you also suggest some places to stay?
I would also appreciate if you can share your experience in Lahaul & Spiti with us..

There is the bus from Reckong Peo which arrives in Kibber at 8 pm everyday via Kaza. It starts next morning from Kibber at 8 and goes back to Peo via Kaza. Thats your only bus service to and from Kibber.

Cheers,
Shamik

Does anyone have any information on the Kibber sanctuary?
what wildlife do we get to see other than the blue sheep, ibex, chukor birds?
Any idea how do we get a guide to the sanctuary?

I saw a herd of blue sheep on my way to Kibber to Gette village right alongside the trail and a herd of Ibex in Pin Valley! I didnt see any guides anywhere in Kibber though!

Cheers,
Shamik

Anaya...I have done the Baralacha trek in 2006. Let me tell you it is an extremely difficult trek to execute...and more over gets very depressing at times. Please plan very carefully as one can get in a lot of troubles there. In case you want to share ur plan with me, do so ..so I can just browse through it. Pls take this very seriously. I have done many treks in the Himalayas...but Baralacha was a killer!
