Looking for travel partner !!!

Its time for my holidays again.. August - September .. have been a visitor to India for the past 18 years as i have been living abroad .. every year when i come over, i make it a point to go out on a road trip... last year i drove from Hyderabad to Kerala via Bangalore, Mysore, Sultan Battery into Kerala.. spent some days out there and then (via Mangalore, Udipi) headed to Goa spent another week there and then headed back to Hyderabad via Hubli, Kurnool..

This time i am planning to hit to road from Hyderabad to Pune and visit the nearby places (like lonavala, khandhala etc.) . the mountain stretch (duration almost a week).. as i am going alone . . would like to know if anyone would like to join in... i have my own SUV which is geared up for the journey.. dates around 8th August - 12th August..

Interested parties do drop in a line.. if anyone has done such trip and duration.. would love to get some suggestions across (in terms of places to visit, stay, restaurants etc..)..

Looks like the segment which I chose to travel is not of any interest to anyone.. or probably everyone are too busy to there are almost 96 views but not a single one posting a single response or neither giving any suggestions.. atleast let me know what's wrong ??

Am pretty much sure if this tread was posted by a female.. oh boy .. the number of responses would be been amazing.. anyway i am still going for this trip and hope to get some real good surprises during the trip..

Ok folks.. no interest shown by anyone.. just to let everyone know I am still going with or without company.. probably its lot more adventurous to go alone to such place.. jut to let everyone know its still 8th August I am leaving..

Why not go to Lavasa instead of the run-of-the-mill places like Lonavala, Khandala, Mahabaleshwar, Panchgani, etc. and then post your experience about the first hill city to be developed in free India. I gather it is 600 km from Hyderabad.

i am game for any road trips (especially long drives).. lets keep in touch sari_pari.. and maybe we could chalk out something similar later this year..

Just now I saw your posting. I liked your attitude that you are going ahead with or without the Company. As you said if it were female may be 100s of pple must have been in the queque!

Ofcourse no offend to anybody itz just a human tendency & no exception me also

By chance if you make out any plans for Karnataka next year, Let me know then - If time & God permits definitely I will try to join. Ofcourse itz too far... God knows what happends!

Let's for the best! Nothing in our hands right?!

I wish all the best for your trip during this Aug-Sep.

folks .. right now in sholapur .. at Junglee Dhaba (now called Junglee Family Garden).. they are supposed to serve wine only outside.. (quite funny).. i asked for a beer and they are just getting it in a glass (no bottle outside)..

Have to say.. the ride from Hyderabad to Sholapur was too good.. had a chance to experience rains on the way (downpour).. which was cool.. because of no rains in Hyderabad at the moment ..

more updates as I go along ..

Hi Everybody..

yes I am back from a fabulous trip a portion of it by road .. and then followed by a train journey along with friends to down south (kerala).. got back yesterday morning .. and i am setting out for another trip and this time out of india.. heading to singapore, thailand.. would be back on Sept 3rd..

after my return, will post in a detail experience of my road trip and the train journey too.

Hi,

I would be going to treking, travelling in the himilyas, that will be around 10-15 days; I have my own tents and stove; but as I stay in delhi, I would travelling form delhi. That will be sometime in early October.
We would be treking in alpines,green medows,lush green valleys, be we would be travelling on foot and there would be porters carring basic requirements food ect; and part of which will travelling other nice places on the way.
You are welcome if you like to join in, if you love to travel and seek some adventure
