Looking for people travelling to Ladakh from Delhi.

Hi everyone,

I am planning to go to Leh late July. I have been there once before but I was traveling solo then and on a tight budget (very tight and lots of walking included). Well there is an even happening in Ladakh, the last four days of August. Its called The Ladakh Confluence. I am part of organising it as well. the problem is that if I were to go alone then this post wouldn't exist. I am planning to take my Dog "Sputnik" up to Ladakh too. I have figured out a way to get him as far as Delhi from Goa, but after that I really haven't yet found a way to get him to Manali and then to Leh. Any help would be appreciated to this regard.

Important Info: I cant drive well but I can ride and have been for many years ( I currently do not own a bike).
Sputnik is an amazing Dog and is travel friendly in size (Beagle-Pariyah mix) and temperament.
Sputnik has experience in sitting on the tank of a bike and riding long distances.

Well this post is basically for anyone who can help me get Sputnik closer to Ladakh in any way. If anyone has suggestions I would love to hear them out. If anyone is already planning a trip to Ladakh at that time and has some space for a guy and his dog please get in touch with me. Any help will be appreciated even if you can get me as far a Manali.

More about me: I am 23 years of age and was born,brought up, educated in Bombay. I worked there for a year after I graduated and then left to find a new way of life. Traveled to many places and on my way in Ladakh fell in Love with my partner.I now live in Goa since last October and have been working on The Ladakh Confluence, a four day eco-adventure conference and percussion festival to be held in Ladakh from the 28th to the 31st of August '09...

Well, depending on the responses: help or ideas or suggestions or a solution I get from absolutely anyone on this forum in the next 4 days, I will make up my mind whether I'm going to take Sputnik to Leh with me or not. Once again I'd like to add ABSOLUTELY ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED (even a list of reasons as to why I should not be taking my dog with me be would be much appreciated).
