Looking for like minded travellers for Srinagar-Leh trip bet 10-Aug to 22-Aug 12

Hi,
I and my husband are planning to travel to leh from Srinagar from 10'th Aug 2012 to 21'st Aug 2012. We are looking for like minded travel partners to join us at Srinagar and then we can travel to Leh.

Our itinerary :
10-Aug-12 Day 1 Srinagar
11-Aug-12 Day 2 Pahelgam
12-Aug-12 Day 3 Kargil "Srinagar – Sonamarg – Zozi La – Drass – Kargil
 Overnight at Kargil
13-Aug-12 Day 4 Alchi On the way see Gurudwara Pather Sahib, Magnetic Hills, Confluence at Zanskar
14-Aug-12 Day 5 Leh "Kargil – Lamayuru – Leh
 Cover Mulbekh Maitrey, Lamayuru Moanstery, Lunar Landscapes
 Overnight at Leh
16-Aug-12 Day 7 "Diskit/Hunder
Nubra Valley" Khardung La – Diskit – Hunder
 Diskit has monasteries with tallest lord Buddha statue and Hunder has sand dunes and bacterian camel safari
17-Aug-12 Day 8 Leh While returniing to Leh, cover Hunder / Diskit – Sumur – Panamik – Sumur – Khardung La – Leh18-Aug-12 Day 9 Pangong Leh – Hemis Monastery – Pangong Tso Lake
 Cover either of Hemis, Thicksey and Shey on the go towards Pangong Tso
 Overnight at Pangong Tso (Spangmik or Lukung)
19-Aug-12 Day 10 Leh Pangong Tso Lake – Thicksey Monastery – Shey Palace – Leh
 Cover either of Hemis, Thicksey and Shey on return to Leh
 Overnight at Leh
 About 5-6 Hrs drive, depending upon the breaks you take in between
20-Aug-12 Day 11 Tso Moriri Tso Moriri via Chumathang
 Cover Karzok Monastery
 Overnight at Karzok or Tso Moriri
 About 7-8 Hrs drive, depending upon the breaks you take in between
21-Aug-12 Day 12 Leh Tso-Moriri to Leh via Tso Kar-Debring-TagLang-La
22-Aug-12 Day 13 Leh Reach Leh airport by 6.00 am for Mumbai

Hi, we are planning exactly during the same dates. We suggest covering two more places Tyakshi(from Hunder) and Nyoma (before going to Tsomoriri). They are beautiful and non commercial. my husband and I have almost the same plan. If interested please reply back

Ours is other way round (leh-srinagar) from 10th to 25th.

Obviously cant be a part of whole trip but couple of days whle in Nubra/ pongang can be a part if you guys can accommodate us..!!!

I would be following the same itinerary ..i.e. Leh - Srinagar reaching Srinagar on 22nd Aug as i got my flight back to Dlehi on 22nd.

I am reaching Leh on 15th Aug and woudl be exploring Leh and around before coming to Srinagar to catch my flight on 22nd .
I dont know if we could be suitable fellow travelers .

Day 1- Aug 11- Saturday | Mumbai to Leh + Inner Line Permits +
Leh Local Sightseeing
-Starting late noon explore Leh Palace and Shanti Stupa till evening.
- Overnight at Leh

Day 2 | Leh Local Sightseeing including Monastery tour

-First Half: Shey Palace, Thiksey and Stakna monastery
- Post Lunch: Hermis monastery, Chortens near Choglamsar
- Overnight at Leh

Day 3 | Leh – Sham Valley Tour – Leh-- OPTIONAL- Can skip this if there is less time for Pangong Tso/Tso Moriri/ or can keep this for last day considering No Moon night is coinciding with Tso Moriri
-Alchi Monastery, Likir Monastery,

-First Half: Magnetic Hill, Zanzkar confluence,Alchi, LamaYuru
-Second Half: Lekir (OPTIONAL), Gurudwara Pather Sahib
- Overnight at Leh

Day 4 - Aug 14| Leh – Khardung La – Diskit (Nubra Valley) – Hunder / Diskit

- Visit Diskit old and new monastery including the tallest Buddha statue in the noon
- Camel Ride at Hundur
- Overnight at Diskit

Day 5 - Aug 15| Diskit – Sumur – Panamik – Khardung la – Leh

- Visit Sumur and return to Leh.
- Overnight stay at Leh


Day 6-- Aug 16 | Leh – Chang La – Tangste- Pangong Tso
- Stay at Tangste or Pangong Tso

Day 7– - Aug 17-NO MOON NIGHT| Tangste - Spangmik – Merak – Chusul – Karzok
- Check largest Telescope of world at Man – Merak, if installed
- Explore Chusul War Memorial
- Chumur Gompa for mummified statue (OPTIONAL)
- Overnight at Tso Moriri

Day 7 | Hanle – Kyun Tso – Salsal la – Chumur – Charchaghan La – Tso Moriri (Korzok)

- Visit Hanle Monastery
- Chumur Gompa for mummified statue
- Visit Korzok Monastery
- Overnight at Karzok


Day 8- Aug 18 | Karzok – Tso Kar – Moore Plains – Taglang La/Chumathang – Leh
-Spend some time around Tso Moriri
-If possible, come back via Taglang La

Day 9- Aug 19 | Fly back to Mumbai


Any suggestions on itinerary are also welcome.

@anshumdua mine is more or less like yours. We can probabaly sare cabs for a couple of trips.
FOr nubra I was thinking of increaing one day and go to turtuk...
