Leaving In Less Than 24 Hours!!!!!

Hello everyone!!! I leave in under 24 hours and I'm pretty nervous/excited. I am scheduled to land in Bombay at 4:45 A.M.

Any final tips or thoughts? Anything would be appreciated.

Last but not least, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has ever posted anything on this forum. Even though I didn't talk with most of you, I read around the site and found many useful things. So THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Yup, that's normal!

Glad to hear the site's been useful, I'm sure that the things you've learned will make India seem less strange.

Do bear in mind that some people find their place of arrival a bit overwhelming at first, airports and the surrounding areas where people go when they arrive aren't always the quietest or nicest places, or attract the nicest of people and it's common to think "What on earth have I let myself in for!" at first so don't worry, it will be fine!

Have a fantastic time and keep us posted!

Final tips? Consider the journey itself.

What are going to do on the plane?

Get your reading/listening matter sorted, and make sure you are familiar with what you can and cannot take as carry-on. Somehow, within those restrictions, one has to make oneself as cosy as possible.

Of course, you may be very familiar with long-haul flights, in which case you won't need this advise.

Anyway... Enjoy the journey, enjoy arriving, enjoy India

This is just a wild stab in the dark, but I'm guessing that you're not exactly loving every minute of being here!

DesiKurdi, most of the people on this site visit India because they want to, rather than being forced to take a business trip, so don't worry it's not that bad or nobody would come here - get on that flight anyway and enjoy the multitude of good experiences that India has to offer.

Thumbs up Last minute trip to Goa alone.... looking for interesting people to meet up with

Hi all,

I'm currently in Delhi visiting friends.... I kind of got sick of the polution and chaos and decided to book a last minute trip to Goa!
Never been before but love the adventure of last minute spontaneous decisions so will see where the journey takes me.

If you're about in Goa and want to catch up for a drink etc then give me a shout.
I'm staying in Vagator by this beach.... Male, 28.. from London... arriving Sunday 30th and leaving Friday 5th.

Am hoping to go to Mambos for some partying... hoping to relax by the beaches... get a few massages... do some swimming etc etc

Hope to hear from some fun, like-minded travellers.
Ciao
P
