india in january

i am a 23 year old female from LA. i am looking for a female travel partner in january. my plans are flexible. i would like to do a tour since iam a first timer to india. i just do not want to travel alone. as far as what cities i want to visit, nothing is definate yet and i am open to anywhere.

i am going alone so i am definately leaning towards a package tour because i dont really know what to do there on my own. also it's going to save me a lot of money and hassle for my first time in india.

i´m gonna travel solo as well, starting from dehli on the end of feb...i wanna do rajastan,agra, varanasi for sure. the rest is up to myself...my scedule is pretty flexible.actually this will be my 2nd trip in india.i´ve been allready in mumbai, goa and kerala.at least i wanna chill out on the beach.i dont know jet where exactly.

Hi Arianna,

I'm not a female, but I also be travelling solo in India during the whole january.
I'm arriving either at Delhi or Calcutta, at 31/12/06, but I don't have the intention to get into a tourist group either.

If you are interested going some mileages together, just give me a shout.

My plans are flexible and would be something around: Varanasi- Allahabad( during the Ardh Mela)- Agra- Jaipur- Pushkar- Udaipur.

There's a idea of maybe going 1 week to Nepal and staying at Kathmandu and a small trekking for about 4 days in the valley.

I plan to be in Goa from 2 January to 8 January, staying in Paololem. I'm actually leaving this Sunday for Mysore & Kerala, but if you're in Goa the same days I am by all means try emailing me or posting to this site. I am definitely keen to have company here and there for a meal, shopping, sightseeing, etc. I will try to check emails from time to time and get in touch closer to the dates if our plans cross.

I'm flying to Delhi Christmas day from Australia to spend a month and i'm typically disorganised and don't have any contacts in india.

I would be more than happy to meet up with some travellers so as to not feel completely overwhelmed

I'm a girl travelling India with my boyfriend but he & I are spending a week - 10 days apart from mid to late Jan.
I'll be in North India & thinking of going to Rishikesh as will have already seen Rajasthan & Varanasi.
Let me know if you're in the North & we can meet up & travel trogether! Had lots of people on this board recommending Rishikesh to me but also pointing out it would be better to be with someone there so I could go hiking & walking in the beautiful areas around it more safely etc.

For how long are you going to stay in India, And the most important thing is like what would you like to enjoy here, you will have great beaches, winter desert.. chilly hills.. and crowded but yet amazing Ardh Kumbh Mela, which i am planning for..
