Landing in Mumbai on the 3th of August, I’ve the rest of the month to explore India. It ‘ll be my first time in India, thou I stayed in Sri Lanka on a holiday 10 years ago. I don’t know the real impact of the monsoon but I think it ‘ll be beter to visit Mumbai the end of the month and leave the city the first or second day. But I really have not made my mind up yet where I will go. I’m interessed in places like Agra, Khajuraho and Varanasi but maybe those places are to touristic and ‘ll cause too much trouble. I’m a 45-year old man who wants (fe)male company on his journey for practical reasons (hotel, travel tickets) and for shearing interests like yoga, meditation, spirituality, philosophy…I’m non smoker, non drinker and vegetarian. Who comes along?

Hi Ivan.
We (36/29 yo) are maybe looking for a nice companion for our trip. We do not smoke and do not abuse alcohol. Hm, I am now fascinated with a new digital camera, interested in spiritual development, electronics, veg food. My aim is to be a companion to my lady who will visit India for the first time. I want to shoot toons of photos, eat lots of fresh fruits, feel smells, hear locals speaking their english, find good ayurvedic medicines and music. My companion is a musician. She wishes to find indian musical instruments too. Welcome everybody to start any kind of constructive discussion. Hugs :-) Misiek.

Hi Misiek,
I send an email to your personal adres for reply. But later on when I was browsing this forum and read your post of other threads I noticed that you too are searching for the best "angle" to visit India. Since i'm landing in Mumbai (3/8)at the wettest month I had plans to go directly eastward and visit Mumbai just before my departure (31/8) After considering all you read on the forum; what is your plan? ans when/where do you land/go back? I presume this is not your first visit to India. Where have you been before? |

It's a bit of rain in August but never too much... at least you get to the many places with less crowd (70% less) than in peak season!
good luck and enjoy! |

HI THERE..in the August heat YOU might consder going to the MOUNTAINS, PLACES THAT ARE IN SEASON, LIKE unbeleivable leh, LADAKH, where the passes are open, and/or even places in HIMACHAL PRADESH, LIKE Manali, Shimla, etc,For real adventure and spectacular scenery, c an travel by road from MANali to LEH-two days, stay in the roadside hotels en route, AND later, Fly back to Delhi and combine a trip to the MOUNTAIN REGIONS, with perhaps a foray TO THE gODEN tRAINGLE, Delhi, Agra, and JAIPUR! take care, any if ya want any other ideas, drop me a line at dreamingofindia@aol.com
