Hello & Goodbye

India 2007 (around april)
India 2007. I want to hit most of the hot spots. Still early in the planning stages. But, its for a month-month and half around April-May. My ending location is at the Southern most tip where I fly out from Trivandrum. I dont like doing the typical tourist BS so not going to bars or partying all night.
I want to trek/hike/raft/scuba dive and occasionally chill out... I am planning to do most of this... http://gorp.away.com/gorp/location/a...top_twenty.htm I dont think I'll do the extreme stuff like sking himalayas/ paraglide. Anyone up for a life changing trip? |

Yea I know. Again its no where near finalized so Im just picking a few top spots from the North and some from the South so I make sure I get equally different flavors of the country. Im still doing research on the South. I know for sure I want to go to the Subramanya temple nestled in a lush tiger reserve! I suspect that 65-70% is going to be in the North since it is very hot in the South during that time.

I have been to the Subramanya Temple its definetly right in middle of Dense forest. Its got a great atmosphere of a small temple town in middle of forest and loved the morning cool air. Definetly try the temple meal on banana leaf will be an experience
. There are actually quite a few temples around the Managalore area which have a lot of history behind them. |

No Tigers as such!! But in the one of the past trips through a short cut road our jeep was attacked by jungle bees so the driver had to really press on the gas to keep away from them. Heard stories of elephants out there.
