Hello/Namaste everyone!
I'm a straight, young, professional, educated, Indo-American male, and I'm not into drugs. My friends would all describe me as hilarious, very friendly, very hospitable, outgoing, cultured, very knowledgeable, and oh yes, slightly offbeat. I live in Boston, and I *LOVE* Boston for a multitude of reasons. I'll be going to India in early January. I will be in South India for at least a week or so. From there, I will be in North India (in the Delhi/New Delhi area) for a "working/vacation". What this means is that I will be working from my guest house from 6:00 PM - 3:00 AM Indian Standard Time (IST) every weekday, but during the day, I'll be visiting and enjoying the city. I'm looking for a person who wants to share a living accomodationg for 2-4 weeks. NOTE: I'm quite flexible as to how long I stay there, because it's not like I'm taking off time from work (provided I get work done there). But I prefer to stay longer than 2 weeks. What's critically important to me is that the living accomodation must have a *FAST/RELIABLE* internet connection which will allow me to use my voice-over-IP telephone. My job is very dependent on this aspect. Also, geographically, I'm very flexible, just as long as I can visit Delhi/New Delhi during the weekends (being able to visit on the weekdays is a plus!). While in North India, I plan to visit New Delhi (of course), Amritsar, and the Wagah border crossing, among other things. Plus, the Baha'i Temple and other places. I also have this ambition to visit a foreign country from India for a weekend or so. You are more than free to explore the city with me, as I speak a little Hindi. If you're on one of these social networking sites, then we can profile each other to make sure that there is a fit there. Anyways, adios/shalom/auRevoir for now, and please drop me a line here. Thanks. Last edited by Sama : Nov 15th, 2007 at 04:40. |

hey i'm a desi chick in a similar posish.. i do working vacations while in india.. went NYC-Mumbai on Oct 22nd last year and returned Feb 3 this year. i covered delhi, agra, amritsar, wagah border, jaipur, jodhpur, jaisalmer, ranthambhore, mumbai, pune, alibag, murud-janjira, bangalore, kabini, mysore, srirangapatnam, chennai, mahabalipuram, pondicherry and hyderabad, all while working full time EST hours. Didn't sleep much, but I had a fantastic time! The long weekends in November really helped when I had to visit remote locations like jaisalmer where there's no internet. i did homestay tourism, cost me arnd 40 bucks a nite, it was safe for a girl traveling solo, and very comfy. if u need more info abt where to stay and car service numbers in diff cities, post here or email me preetiaa@gmail.com.
