Going to India in April alone

Hi... I will be traveling to India in April and will be traveling alone for a part of the trip. I will be leaving San Francisco on April 5th with a good friend of mine and his wife. Before coming to India we will be spending 4 nights in Hong Kong and arriving in India (New Delhi) on April 10th. For the first week I will be with my friends touring Delhi and attending a wedding, but after that my friend has family obligations and will need to go to his mother's place for the remainder of the trip. Dates aren't final yet, but from the 15th-26th, I'll be traveling solo.

I'm 32, single male, straight, Pacific Islander (originally from Indonesia), and looking for a travel partner that is interested in exploring many of India's historic sites. I consider myself to be outgoing, fun, and easy going. I don't consider myself old and still act no differently than when I was 25. I enjoy a good beer and don't have a problem staying up late to enjoy the night life.

I would like to see Rajasthan (Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer) , Chennai, Kerala, and Goa. I'm still doing my research on the places mentioned, but my itinerary is not set in stone and is flexible. I've recently taken up photography as a hobby and would like to take this opportunity to practice capturing the sights of India. My preferred method of travel is by air from city to city, or by train in AC top tier cabins. There are a lot of places I would like to see and do not want to be in anyway stuck half the time commuting. I will sacrifice budget for comfort and convenience.

I work as an engineering manager at a hi-tech software company in the Bay area and have an office to go to in Bangalore. If I'm stuck with nothing to do, I will probably end up flying there and working. This is something I'm trying to avoid because this trip is supposed to be a vacation :-)
