Exclamation Where do u plan to be in Goa?

Me and my friends maybe there around that time and are wondering what we could do as swimming in the sea is out of the question.

Have u been to Goa in the rains b4? WHich beaches do u think we must absolutely not miss??

Been to Goa in February once before this, Barely made it to the Baga, calangunt and Anjuna stretch and by then we had to leave.. trying to plan better this time.. .any help would be great..

Me and my friends wanna see some clubs, forts and beaches around the ones I mentioned above.

Thanks.

Cheers,
Ash

Thumbs up Thanks

Will be hitting both Morjom and Toito's unless the rain gods create major havoc when we get there

Goa in Monsoon

Is Morjom and Toito/Tito's will be open in July. Last time I went in August end Toto's(open bar and disc) was closed. But its real fun to be there in rains in Goa. Only problem, Beach Shacks are closed, swimming on beaches prohibited, cannot stroll on beaches as there is hardly place on beach and otherwise sea is very rough, most of hotels and eating places are closed and there are no crowds to mingle or talk or have beer on long conversation..

I really do not know what do you do then in Goa in this season..but to unwind, relax and to be with nature this will be best season..

I am getting excited to be there to dance in rain..its pouring in Goa at this moment..

You can relax and unwind. Most of the beaches will be closed as sea is very rough in Monsoon. Difficult to walk on beaches because there will be hardly space left.

Some outlets and Disc will be open. You can unwind there for night life. Else life is sombre in this season.

Stay in North Goa as there is still some activities over there. South Goa will be dead in this season except 5 star hotels that will be open.

Beach Shacks will all be closed.

But enjoy different moment in rain. Take two wheeler and travel till Arembol (Harman) beach enjoying scenic greenery, fresh and cool air and enjoy rains, get wait..thats what you can do in Go in this season..

Hey Sachin,

I am planning to visit Goa end of next week and may be staying till middle of following week. You think life will be dull there as most of the beaches will be closed. What do you think of nightlife. I am travelling 1st time in this Monsoon season and heard that its raining heavily. Just wondering how can I spend some quality time as I will be staying for a week there.

Exclamation No beach shacks, not many night clubs and no hookah!!

LOL!

That sounds drab indeed but we hope to manage.. planning on staying at Calangunt or Baga.. any recommendations.will be in goa on thursday..

We would like to stay at a clean place close to the sea with a pool and a restaurant cum bar maybe...

What kinda prices do we expect now in rainy July for such a place? How does Sun kissed Resort charge? Any others beside these?

ash or ash2ash lol,

GTDC has got a resort "Calangote Residency Beach Resort". I stayed here on our visit. It's just right to the Calangote Beach. It has one big restaurant. I remember taking beer overlooking the seaside activities lol

http://www.goatourismresorts.com/cal...sort_goa .php

Yep the rooms were clean and had a swimming pool as well

In the night we used to walk the stretch from Calangote to Baga...

We went in Feb last year. For double bed it was 1500/-. Then they charged 300 extra for each extra person. That comes to 600+1500=2100. Add to it the service tax of some 300. It came total of 2400/- for 4 people in a room. This 1500/- should come down as it is an off season now.

Don't know about the pool whether they will close it or not lol They have got a spacious balcony as well. Make a call to the number which was provided in the url.

Some more info. In front of this resort there is one shop. They provided us with an open jeep for some 1000/day. We made all the trips in this jeep. Also just enquire at the security over the resort. They will provide you with jeep/car if needed. Bring a bottle of fenny from Goa for giving all this info. Just kiddin Have a nice holiday ahead
