goa in november

hello!
i'm heading down to goa in the next few days and i'm a little nervous about what i've heard about the party scene there. I've been traveling for the past 8 months (only the past month in india) and I'm looking for a quiet place to calm my nerves. not into smoking and drinking myself to oblivion... any ideas on peaceful places, serene hikes, etc. would be great! i'm also wondering if anyone out there would like to meet for a meaningful chat and to chill out (something other than chillum...) i plan to be in goa for a few weeks and then further south to kerala. if your a man looking for a relationship don't bother...im not interested.

A nice, calm beach is the south of Goa is very idyllic. You mingt like it. Conocona station is nearby if u r traveling in by train. Not all trains stop there. You cud also drive down in a cab or bus from Margao town.
Beach huts made of local materials like palm n coconut r nice to stay in.
Nice place to take a break, that's Palolem

Goa's reputation for a party zone is rather inflated, there are any number of beaches where you can relax and breath in the fresh air. Agonda springs to mind, or Patnem!!
