Any decent place to recommend for about US$10-15 in Delhi since i will be landing in Delhi

Hey there -
I just wrapped up a month in India primarily as a solo gal and it can be pretty tough. One thing that helped a great deal in Delhi was that I stayed in the Tibetan Settlement, Manj nu ka tila, which is pretty far to the north, between the Red Fort and the University. What I loved about Manj nu ka tila was that it was really quiet, unbelievably safe, and no hassles from men (since most of them are monks...). Quite peaceful. If you want me information, let me know. Best, Carol |

Look on the map for Bandhavgarh, if you're interested in wildlife, especially tigers, this is the place to go. Its a little difficult to get to, we had a car and driver and it took about 7 hours on a very bad road! but I think its well worth it.
Varanasi was a little hectic to say the least! be prepared for the traffic and hussle. I did not go to India alone and I don't think I ever would! I hope you have a great time! |

Hi. Contact if interested in trekking in Himalayas
Hi.
I am an architect from New Delhi and love trekking and travelling in himalayas. If you plan to try out any destination there in May or June, I can join you. I have travelled a lot in these places and can assure you that these are the safest and the most wonderful sights that India can offer. If interested contact me at fanduatma@hotmail.com. I am also planning to go to Pondicherry, but it would be damn hot there. |
