| Delhi - Leh - Delhi 18th - 27th july Hello all, I am new to InidiaMike. Me and some of my friends are planning to go for a road trip to leh. We would be leaving on 18th July by a hired SUV. None of us has not done much travelling of this kind. Can anyone please help us with the ITINERARY. We are planning for a 9 to 10 days trip. * We are not much into trekkin and just wanna visit places in the jeep wid a bit of mild treks. * Can we go by the manali - Leh route and take a different route while comming back. * We don't want a very hetic schedule and want to stop at all the sight seeing places. * Is there any place on the way where we can do river rafting. * Please suggest all the places worth stopping on the way. * Is it better to hire a SUV from manali or delhi. Also I hav a sedan car. Is the route comfortable for this type of car or we need only 4WD's. * Can the whole trip be completed in 9 to 10 days. Rishi |

| Delhi -manali-leh We can clubb up . as we Are planning same around same dates .. I am in Saket and another friend will be flying in from saudi soon. Let me know if you get a rate of Safari /SUV hire in delhi . may be we can clubb to cut the cost. Thanks Yogesh |

| Yes sure we can. How many of u ? We are 4. The rates would be 8 or 9 rs per KM for innova.... that would be more comfortable. It will all get finalized by the weekend. Just be in touch. Thanks Rishi |

(overnight) * Manali to Leh by Rented car ------- 19th july morning. { manali ------( rohtang pass ) ----> sarchu ( 17hrs ) ----> pang ( 3.5 hr ) ----> upshi ( 4.5 hrs) ----> Leh ( 1.15 hrs) , 19th and 20th july } * Nearby places of interest in Ladhak ------ 21st july. * Day trip to Pangong tso lake ------ 22nd july * Day trip to lamayuru ----- 23rd July * Day or 2 day trip to nubra valley + water rafting. ----- 24th and 25th july. * Leh To Manali ------ 26th and 27th july * Manali To Delhi by bus ------ 27th july overnight. | Hi Rishi, I am sorry could not update you in time, I just went to a unplanned rocket run to Shimla-kufri/ and due to some unfaivorable circumstance we had to come back to Delhi. I will plan soon for diffrent dates but may be have to drop Leh for this month. cheers!! Yogesh |

| Hello Yogesh, no probs man. We did the trip and it was awesome. We changed the plan of our return route and came back via srinagar. Had a halt for a day in srinagar and it was an amazing experience. Will update the pics on this thread. Now I am back to work and have to work for 2 months before backpacking again and travelling. cya rishi. |
