Hi! I will be doing a volunteer job in Kottayam near Cochin - and maybe Goa - in the mentioned time. Is there anyone who will be there for some weeks, too? Somebody told me that in the evening everybody stays at home in India, so maybe it would be nice to meet people to do such exciting things as playing cards or whatever... :O) Travelling on weekends... Looking forward to hearing from you! Martina

Yes I will be in Cochin working from Oct 15 to Feb 15. It would be great to get together for a card game. Do you know how to play Euchre? It was a popular game in the part of the United States where I grow up (settled by german farmers) Mike

HI Will be in Goa at that time, would be cool to chill and meet a few fellow travellers. Cards would be cool, but don't forget the beach parties!

Will be in Goa also. Would certainly be keen to meet up with some other travellers for a beer and a chat. Don't know how long I could play cards for though... may get a little restless.

Hi Nix, I had a pretty similar plan to yourself. Goa for NY then south into Kerala, maybe over to Hampi first. Not sure where in Goa im staying. Was hoping to work that out when I get over there. Yet to pre-book a bed. Not sure if i will.

Im arriving in Bombay on the 26th of Dec. Was tossing up whether to spend NY in Bombay or Goa. At this stage im leaning towards Goa however ive had lots of people tell me not to bother due to the ridiculous number of people that will be there. As far as what type of hotel... well, anything that is relatively clean and close to where the action is. Oh, and cheap too. | |

That early flight 05.20 Mumbai/Goa could be useful as the schedules from London seem to arrive early hours. Might use my AirMiles and go in via Mumbai ![]()
