Biking from manali to leh fron 15th june 2007

Hey alok,
Here is a question where you are expecting an answer:
I myself am planning long distance trips with my wife and for that I am planning to 'buy' an Enfield. How comfortable is the bike for the pillion rider. Which of the Royal Enfield model do you drive?

i m having electra..it is comforatblw for pillion rider. what i m planning is that to give more breaks in journey and take around 4-5 days to reach leh from delhi. u can also hire bike from manlai to leh...or u can bring ur bike from hyderabad to delhi by train and from here can move on bike to leh.

any one know any agencies that hire out cars for the same journey,with drivers/without drivers????
planning to do the same trip, not sure if friends will join me from blore, so im looking at all travel options

Alok make sure that you & your partner get used to long, very long drives before that. It will be a very long distance and your back and your neck might start paining.

before taking trip to leh i m going to rudraprayag...
and also i m going to take lot of breaks....i will take around 5 dyas to reach leh from delhi...so lot of scope for proper est also...

I am going solo to leh. I am planning to hire Pulsar from Leh itself and roam around for few days.

I can hire bike from Manali too but they ask for hefty deposit and generally they have only enfields with I dont prefer.

Would like to join someone who is doing this trip in 2nd half of june.
