Badami and more

Badami - Cochin - Madurai

Travelling from Hampi to Badami around July 20th I wonder if any fellow traveller is interested in sharing costs and fun of a car&driver for a day or two. After Badami (three, four days...itinerary not fixed) I will head to Panaji probably and if the monsoon masti is not as fine as I hope it will be, I soon after will travel to Fort Cochin in Kerala and on to Madurai in TN. Regarding Madurai my question is if Aarti (opposite a Vishnu temple I remember) still is a congenial place to stay or if anyone has some other suggestions on mid-budget lodgings in M. The sharing of car&driver could apply for Madurai and surroundings too...I even like to move from one city to another (Madurai to Thanjávur) with a car sometimes. I know it is expensive cause you have to pay for the drivers return as well...but if someone wants to do the same...give me a reply to this post...mmmmmmmm in less than 60 days I will be in South India for the third time mmmmm
