Hi
![]() I'm new here, and anyway I'm arriving in Kolkata on Feb. 11 and volunteering with the sisters for a few weeks - after that I'd like to do some backpacking. I'm young and this is my first trip - if anyone wants to meet up or whatever I'd love to get in touch! I don't have too too much cash but am active and really want to see the country. Take care! Hey Michelle,
Where do you plan on being in March? I will be traveling alone as well, and would be interested to see if our paths meet up. I'm doing the budget deal too, and also thinking of volunteering in feb, maybe with volunteers for peace in the south. what have you found in that area? take care, jessica |

Hi again! Umm, I don't really have much of an itinerary scheduled - although I know I'm going to the Taj, Delhi, and I'd like to see the beautiful southern beaches. Basically, for Jessica, I could meet you anywhere mid-country in March! And fee, too. I'm just pretty eager to have someone to meet, sometime, that is expected, you know? Take care everyone

Hey all.
I have a 15-week trip planned. I am arriving mid-January (the 13th) and leaving Late April. It's my first trip to India, I am travelling alone and keeping my plan flexible. Here's what I have tentatively planned: A couple weeks in Mumbai, then to Goa or a beach town south of Goa for a couple of weeks. In Mid to late February I will travel North and check out Rajasthan, etc. I hope to be in Dharamsala for the beginning of March. I may spend a couple weeks in Dharamsala, where the Dalai Lama will be holding public teachings starting March 7th. Between Mid-March and Late April I hope to go to Agra (mainly to see the Taj Mahal), Varanasi, and I plan to spend a couple weeks in Kathmandu. All of this may change drastically, but if any of you think we might overlap at all, I'd love to hook up. Talk to you later, Andrew |

hey everyone! I've come up with an extremely loose itinerary - Kolkata for a few weeks, less than a month, Varanasi to Agra, possibly Delhi then down to Udaipur. After that, I don't know what time it'll be and how much longer I'll have before I come back, but those are the places I'd like to hit for sure.
Andrew! I'm thinking our best chance to meet up is in Agra - we'll see later I guess! Later, Michelle |

Hi Michelle,
It'd be my very first trip too, and just like you i'm eager to meet people to travel with. I'm going to India alone ,and I hope to meet nice people there. I'm travelling budget, the schedule is yet nonexisting. The are some places i wanna visit though: Nepal (Definately, i'm into treking) Varanasi Ladakh Rishikesh (Yoga centre) Rajastan and some more. I do aware of the fact that the chance we'll be near one another while travelling are slim but it'd be nice to keep on touch and maybe meet and travel together when we're close. You (and other people) are welcomed to contact me. Shalom, Danny

Hi everyone! I'm also backpacking (for about 4 and a half months), but I haven't a strict itinerary yet. I'm in Delhi at the moment, and plan on going to Darjeeling around mid April. I'd like to stop at a few places along the way, but I'm feeling a bit itimidated doing it all alone, as this is my first trip to India and anywhere all by myself. I'm in my late 20s (yikes, that's the first time I've said that!), and would very much like to meet up with other adventuresous souls. PM me, e-mail, or simply respond in the thread!
Michael

I am planning to hit the road in the south for about 2 weeks in the later half of April. My trip is kind of planned up with other pals but can offer help in planning as I just went through a round of it.
April and May is kind of risky without a proper plan as the train tickets for both the months are a tough buy due to the college and school holiday season. All the best and as always plan ahead. Try to finish Kerala before May end as June can be very wet and slippery with rains lashing out. But if you like rains, then you can go in mid to late June and beyond.
