Tighter security at Mumbai airport
Tighter security at Mumbai airport
Probably as a result of the recent spate of terrorist activity, any smokers leaving India from Mumbai airport should be advised that the Indian security checkers are now confiscating any lighters or matches that they detect. (I flew by Kuwait Airways, and their security staff had no objection to you having such items.)
If you've a priceless lighter, I suggest you pack this away in your hold luggage.
I'm obviously not aware of the situation at other airports, but i should imagine that the same rules will apply.
