Welcome to Indiamike Vinod,
As Vandy suggested, extensive search is the key for getting the best results in Indiamike
Search for the topic and you will be surprised by the massive results it throws.
Enjoy your trip to munnar with your friends

I wonder what you mean by specialities. Do you mean what is there to do? If so you can go up to the mountain at sunset. Its a hike. You can take a drive to top camp or whatever the proper name is. You can hire a taxi/rickshaw to tour around the area a bit. I like the road to Murayoor. Its laaaaaaaarvely.
Munnar itself is not that brilliant. But as a foreigner there was a good restaurant in the middle of town where you can get decent fruit salad, decent chinese. I think it was called the bamboo hut. But as an indian you will be fine in all the indian restaurants no doubt.
I can't recommend anywhere to stay.
