Thumbs up Snowfall in Darjeeling

It’s February & it’s snowing Freak flakes in Darjeeling

The last time you could have done so was 22 years ago, when V-Day’s favourite generation was yet to be born. The next time is anybody’s guess — tomorrow’s forecast does not look too bright.

That was excellent for all Darjeeling lovers, including Somnath and me. The only bad thing is that I am sitting duck here in Kolkata this time.

Is the image from Telegraph today?

Hey Bhaswaran, good morning. And yesterday morning I was just amazed to know from my friend that Darjeeling is covered by white powder!!!! Snowfall in Darjeeling - Can you imagine, Bhaswaran? Well, friends according to my friend (lucky man) the situation is just like Holi. The only difference is everyone is throwing snowballs and not colors. Wish I could be present there.
Hey Bhaswaran lets start for Darjeeling tonight. Tomorrow is Friday – we’ll take one day off and then weekend. What do you think?

And, yes the link & image from The Telegraph. But cant find out the picture of Ghum Station which is published in The Anandabazar Patrika (first page), can anyone help me?

Somnath - "Hey Bhaswaran lets start for Darjeeling tonight. Tomorrow is Friday – we’ll take one day off and then weekend. What do you think?"

No, SOmnath, it will be useless, the depression has got off and sun is shining brightly from yesterday. only 4 inch snow will melt in a hour. But next winter, whenever i see depression in West bengal, I will head towards Darjeeling.

Just now have a conversation with Mr. Adhir Pal from Varsey (Sikkim), everything is stanstill there under 2 feet of snow. Anyone wants to go there just now, will have to trek another 9 Km from Okhray to Hillay and then 4 Km to Varsey. Adventerous people proceed.
