| ... heard one almighty 'whoomp' earlier on close to our own house (Maninagar) and asked the wife what that noise was ? Now watching the news on TV. Brother-in-law stays close to where one of the bombs went off. Luckily all the family are safe. Never gave much thought to bombings til now... | |

| I worry that bombs in Gujarat may be an attempt to create further Hindu-Muslim tension, but it depends where the bombs were planted.

| Seems to me that whoever did this is intentionally trying to create fear as opposed to creating a big death toll. If it were a group with serious hostilities, who went to the trouble of planting 17 bombs, it would have been very easy to destroy many more lives. | |
