Rebel attacks kill 2 in eastern India
PATNA, India, Jan 26 (Reuters) - Maoist rebels ushered in India's Republic Day on Thursday with a series of attacks across the east of the country which killed two people, but the rest of the nation marked the occasion peacefully.
The rebels set ablaze more than a dozen coal-laden trucks in a village in Chhattisgarh state before firing indiscriminately on passing vehicles, killing two people, police said. Full Article
