pricing change for Taj
The Taj is open for moonlight viewings on 5 nights of the lunar month - full moon night, and the two nights either side; excepting Fridays when the TM is closed. And not during Ramzan, I believe.
Tickets are available at the Archeological Survey of India, 22 Mail Road, Agra. Ph:0562-2227263. You can buy tickts 24 hours in advance.
They allow about 6-8 groups of around 50 people in to view the Taj for around 30 minutes. Actually, you end up with something like 23 minutes of viewing time. You can only view the Taj from the entrance gate - you are not free to move from that area.
If you plan to take photographs, complete all your settings on your camera before you go, because there is not enough light to work with when you get there. You are not allowed to take a tripod, a bag, or a mobile phone.
