New terror attacks warning - Israelis and other westerners

Israel has warned that a Pakistan-based terror outfit affiliated to al-Qaida, which carried out the 2008 Mumbai attacks, is planning to carry out a string of terror attacks across India:

Yes, these people have become bold after news of India not having any nuclear deterrent capacity. Lot of infiltration has started happening on almost all its borders.

Infiltration from Pakistan is a regular one and in the recent past so many bids has been foiled by Indian Army

China is suddenly doing all this monkey business becasue, they dont want dalai lama to visit Indian territory.

China is dead against Dalai lama treated like a guest in India. So its pressure tactics and nothing else.

At the same time, Media is having ball of the time with all this.

Manmohan Singh & his team of croonies don't have a courageous bone in their bodies. For years, Chinese have armed and aided Pakistan, millitarily and economically, but they have turned a blind eye. As a result, Pakistani's have started punching above their weights.

For some years now, China has constantly raked up the boundary issues (Arunachal in particular), border incursions have gone up, and yet, not 1 Minister has come out with a stern word against the Chinese.

Tibetians have a genuine cause, but instead of supporting them and showing solidarity with them, India, wary of annoying the Chinese, have completely neglected them.

Forget Pakistan, it isn't long before the likes of Bangladesh and Nepal start causing problems for India.

This current terror alert has to do with Laksha e Toiba and Al Qaeda. Nothing to do with China....they are planning to target Israeli tourists in India, to coincide with the Jewish festival season..

i do not understand why and how they will target only jews.
Bombs and bullets will not discriminate, they take along every body in range,normally weak and innocent, irrespective of color, race or creed.China is great supporter of proxy war against india.

I've long wondered why Israelis weren't targeted in India by these morons, god forbid such a thing happening, but they surely would be an easy target. It wouldn't be hard to find a huge pack of Israelis in India. I remember some guest houses in the Pahar Ganj specialised in looking after Israelis.

I would have thought their main aim however, is to do India harm through attacking their tourism industry, and that means all tourists, surely even just this news will probably put many off of coming.

Actually come to think of it, you would also thing places like Bangalore where many Western companies have business interests would also be a target.

Won't be putting me off from going back though.

Actually I was discussing with an Indian guy the other day, after watching a documentary on Muslims not being part of the modern booming India through discrimination etc...My worry would be that you have all these fanatics just next door...what would happen if you started getting increased fanaticism inside India through the local Muslim population...could really cause havoc for India....I really hope India doesn't become a no go zone, that would be a huge shame.

It already happened last year, with the attack on Mumbai's Chabad House, among several other (non-Israeli nor Jewish) targets.

A bomb went off in Paharganj just a few years ago; whether Israelis were the target here is anyone's guess, of course.

is already an existing concern, and has been for long, ever since at least both India's and Pakistan's inception as independent states. As no few here never tire to stress, India has had to deal with "terrorism" for very long before the West ever woke up to it; or to this particular branch of it, at least.

It has to be said these scares, such as reported in the original post here, have occurred with just about every oncoming tourist season for the past several years (you can expect them to increase over New Year's). Whether that makes them any more real or not, and if so, to what extent, would again be anyone's guess I suppose. Fact is that in many places across the world, high tourist densities & then perhaps of whatever nationality deemed to be involved in a given conflict or cause make for popular targets of course. (Another fact is that most of these scares have not come to fruition. Whether that means they were averted or were just bogus is again hard to say, of course; and needless to say it tells you nothing about what may happen tomorrow.)

India has had bombs going off as far back as I can remember, I know it's not a what if.

The Chabad house killings were tragic, but comparatively small scale compared with the non-country specific attacks against all Westerners at the hotels and bar in Mumbai.

You often hear that one of al qaeda's main issues is the Israel/Palestine conflict, but surely if they had wanted to, they could have killed a whole lot of Israelis in India already.
