On NDTV just now, saying 8 people killed in Varanasi blasts - there were 2 blasts here, 2 in Faisabad and 1 Lucknow. All were around court areas and they are saying done in protest against defence lawyers refusing to defend terrorists. Just appalling - police also checking all court areas for possible bombs - the bombs were strapped on bicycles. Delhi court area also on alert.

My goodness, Steven, from one disaster to another... take care, and let us know how things are in Varanasi. Also, High Alert is on Supreme Court in Delhi at present. Awful images from all places affected coming on TV at the moment.

Learning today via India Times that last week DRI (darned initials again, don't know what these ones mean! something to do with police I guess..)"busted three terror cells - Kolkata, Mumbai and Jodhpur". Jodhpur? Getting a bit close to home... I had no idea terrorists dwelling there.. too naive, of course, they could be next door..India has more than enough problems worrying about her own terrorists here, let alone Pakistan.
