Links to AI hijacking

I haven't seen any mention of the Air India hijacking from Ktm in December '99 in the media. The hijackers were Afghani's (Taliban presumably) who ended up in Khandahar & were spirited away once their demands had been met. Namely the release of a number of Islamic fundamentalists (read: Terrorists?) from Indian jails. Who were these individuals that were released & were they ultimately involved in S11?

One of the released person, Sheikh Umer, is linked to sending money to sep 11 hijeckers. Also the other relesed terrorist, Maulana Masood Azhar , started their own group which took responsibility of Oct 1 attack in Srinager which killed 38 . But US is still looking in other direction to keep their pakistani friends happy

Omar Sheikh

1. Omar Sheik

I posted this on LP TT in respose to an address someone had put on anonymously. The address was as on the bottom of this post.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Very interesting post. We met Graham Fox in India a few years ago and he told us his story. At the time he had been flown over by the British FO to give evidence at the trial of Omar Sheik. We were also in India when Omar Sheik was released during the Kathmandu- Delhi hi-jacking. No doubt he is still around in the region.

On Sunday evening last I watched a Panorama program on the reaction of UK Moslems to the events in Afghanistan. This included some interviews with young Moslems who clearly stated that they intended to take part in the jihad. I don’t want to be alarmist but it is possible that very soon there could be other “Omar Sheiks” around in India.

Worth a read, I think.

Omar Sheik

Sorry - I did something wrong. Not quite sure how to do this! But if you do click on the link it will come up with the page saying you have done it wrong. But then click on the Front Page link, and it will bring that up. Then click on the item called Exclusive. Diary of a Fanatic. (This will probably not be there after next Sunday).

I have reactivated this thread as i have just found a site that contains the diary mentioned. Don't worry, you certainly won't find Omar Sheik in Paharganj these days. He's in jail in Pakistan awaiting trial for murder.

Scroll down to the 4th article on the page

Just to let you all know, there were two port scan attacks while I was posting this. Surveillance by key-words, do you think? If the snoopers have accessed this site then I would like to say that this post was purely intended to inform other travellers.

Port Scan Atttack!

I don't know IainC. Sounds like something from Star Wars. I have this McAfee virus protection programme which occasionally flags this up on screen. It's probably something to do with those spiders which IndiaMike says are crawling around the web.

The question is, who are the spider-masters?
