Khajuraho dance festival
Khajuraho dance festival - 25 Feb- 2 March
This annual festival fills the amazing temples of Khajuraho with the best classical dancers in the country. Not just for tourists, it is an important cultural event that fascinates aficionados of traditional Asian performing arts. Well-known exponents in their fields perform various classical styles of Indian dance such as Kathak, Bharat Natyam, Odissi, Kuchipudi, Manipuri and Kathakali. Modern Indian dance is a recent addition. The western group of temples acts as the exquisite backdrop for the performers - usually the Chitragupta Temple dedicated to Surya (the Sun God) and the Vishwanatha Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Khajuraho Dance Festival 2009
Hi,
A friend of mine is coming to India at the end of Feb.2009, being an NRI he is a big fan of Indian art and culture and would like to visit khajuraho for the Dance Festival 2009.He is looking for a 4 star accommodation in khajuraho for 3 nights between 26 feb - 28 feb, can anyone please suggest a good hotel near the khajuraho dance festival venue... i found this link through google - http://www.indiaonlinepages.com/fest...-festival.html any help is very much appreciated..budget is not an issue.. |

Khajuraho Dance Festival
i don't think so, but may be someone will show the pics clicked during the dance festival or the videos taken,,
the festival ends on 3rd of march, any case, Best of luck for your trip, |
