Frequently Canceled Flight from Leh to Delhi?

Hi there,

we will visit laddakh and come back to our country at the 17th of september 2008.
We heard that flights from Leh to Delhi are frenquently canceled and we heard also that we have to take a flight (from leh) 4 days before we take our flight to France from Delhi.
Could anyone confirm that?
Is there a lot cancelations in this period (mi-september)?

I know that people get bumped often on that flight. Without it being my intention someone did just that for me so I could fly out. I don't know much lead time for an international flight you need. However, this Leh Delhi flight used to be quite tight. Consider that road becomes problematic at the end of the season..

For your information it is a priority flight for the airlines and it gets cancelled only because of the below minima weather condition.4 days lead time is too much as you have the option of going to srinagar and catch the flt.
