Hyderabad Bomb

After the bomb in the Hyderabad Mosque - we should all be extra vigilant when going to any places where large numbers of people gather.

The current '93 bombing court case and sentencing in Mumbai could also make Mumbai a target for any reprisal

So remember - be careful out there .....

I thought Shahid Malik operated from Bangladesh, but am not sure.

Though I have not read the 'huji' reports jaat mentions, just wanted to clarify, as some will not know, that this is Harkat-ul-Jihad-e-Islami, a militant group in Pakistan occupied Kashmir , and a Taliban ally in Afghanistan.

quite possible but the report said pakistan and generally in these type of situations pakistan is the favorite punching bag of unverified reports of news agencies which are too eager to jump to conclusions.

Thanks for the information. It is definitely the nefarious design of the terrorist outfits always keen to flare communal disharmony wether it is a mosque, temple, gurudwara or church. We all condemn
this.

Won't they lock down the Old City for a while, as they did when I was there in 2003? They didn't allow anyone in or out for nearly a week at that time.

The old city is not locked down, but some public services like buses were discontinued today.

Dunno the exact situation there, but a lot of the city was more or less normal, where I live all shops and establishments were open, and except for less traffic, nothing unusual.

I am only glad the other two bombs didnt go off.

I must correct myself, apparently there is a Bangladeshi HUJI too, and fingers are being pointed towards that group.

Frankly, I cant keep track of these blokes. Not surprising, considering that they just change names when they come under the scanner, or are banned, or when their backers come under pressure. And they dont even have to change letterheads, leave alone offices.

But at least they could have chosen an acronym which doesnt already exist.

Newspaper reports today say that the top brass of HUJI watched the atrocity live through an associates webcam or something and via a recently set up TV channel in Bangladesh.

They then decided not to set off the additional bombs because there werent enough people around their vicinity.

Chilling, if true.
