I don't think India is being destabilised bu these bombings though I think, that might well be the agenda behind them!!

Question

What's the mood in Delhi right now? Reconciliation or anger?

I'm heading over there in a couple of days.

This is something that does worry me. I am going to be in Delhi in July for 1 year. I remember when l was there l heard reports of muslims encouraging their people 2 have more kids to turn into India into an islamic nation and in return Hindus encouraging likewise, all on the back of the Muslim population going from 12 to 14%! I have family friends in Lucknow, who are hindu, muslim mobs came into their shop demanding they close their business, causing the riots there. Also, in Peshwar, my friends family (who are hindu) remained nr Peshwar, Pakistan at the time of partition and only 9 months ago her family of 11 where torched to death by extremists and yet this got no media interest in Pakistan at all. Delhi bombings 60 dead not so long ago and now more violence in delhi and Kashmir. You have extremist elements in all Faiths but theres no denying its seems to be more deadly & organised within the muslim faith. I do think most people in India are tolerant, no matter what their faith and hope this does not escalate any further.

Any claims that this is in retaliation to the bombings in Varanasi ?Or as the same terroists trying to sow the seeds of discord between the hindus and muslims ?

October 29 - Bomb blasts (aournd hindu festival of Diwali) in Delhi markets 50+ dead
March 7 - Bomb blasts in Varanasi (mainly hindu) 20 killed 50+ injured
April 14 - Bomb blats in Delhi Jama Masjid (mosque) 14 injured

There was one bomb blast in Bangalore, was it in February this year?

Hmm....thats scary. Im going to India in about a year's time I hope nothing happens to me or my friends while we're there. It sucks how segregated India is because of its casting system. These bombings are terrifying and they're happening too often! Isnt india a country where the largest different amounts of religions live in harmony... what are the terrorists tryin to prove by blowing themselves up? Its so much easier to go out with friends and family than to blow yourself up right?
