Its a muscians/movie persons fad. Madonna, Kate Winslet and perhaps Gwen Stefani have done this before. It gives them a 3% increase in sales.

Seems stupid from an Indian mans PoV though.

Pitiful publicity stunts. They have relegion into a joke. I wonder what will happen if we all start having a different relegion every second day because the other just didn't seem right

Perhaps the world would become a more broadminded and tolerant place?

I would prefer a world without religion though!!! No religion, no countries, no wars, no differences of colours nor caste nor creed, how good it would be to call each one a citizen of the world!!! Or our little blue planet called Earth with no borders (as we see them on a map) but not visible when viewed from space!!! How I wish my dream will come true, someday soon!!!

Cheers,
Aadil.

i thought britney was following the kabbala?
i can't keep up with this church shopping...
and guys, some of us do follow a religion and we want the same things as you - no countries, no wars, no differences of colours nor caste nor creed, and we don't try to proselytize everyone we meet.

aadil, even if all people were exactly identical, there would still be borders and wars. It has nothing to do with differences, but simply with greed and fear. Both are unfourtunately an integral part of humanity, and this will probably never change until the end of this world.

I did not mean to proselytize anyone, sorry if it appeared so, I respect each individual's right to believe in any religion they wish to and though I do not believe in any, I do not enforce anyone to do the same. It's just that religion should be a private thing and not something that is done to show others what one believes in by showing as mentioned in the story posted above. Sorry once again if I offended anyone. Not my intention to do so.

Cheers,
Aadil.

Dani: Well, this is what I think and hope someday you'll join us!!!

IMAGINE!!!

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

May Peace Prevail On Planet Earth!!!

Cheers,
Aadil.

aadil, i didn't take it offensively at all, i didn't think that any of those comments were offensive.i guess i just wanted to say that i do follow a particular religion and God, and because of that i want much the same that you seem to.
thanks though for the sensitivity.
cheers

Better to be safe and sorry than offend anyone even though it may be unintentional. Just the way I am, I guess. And glad that you were not offended.

Cheers,
Aadil.

Well.. we were like that only.. werent we ??
But humans then invented religion to give us hope, when in despair. to give us strength when everything else has failed. somebody to look up to. to keep us modest when we achieved something, that there is always a superior force than us. We twisted it over the centuries and forgot the real reason behind that... so why blame the religion, blame the humans

Some details the article in Huindustan Times has edited out:

1. "Having been introduced to Kabbalah by the Material Mom (Madonna)..."

2. "Speaking to Newsweek about South Asian musical influences on her 2003 release "In the Zone," Spears said that she had “been into a lot of Indian spiritual religions.” Asked if one of the religions was Hinduism, she answered, “What’s that? Is it like Kabbalah?”

yeah, but can she pick out India on a world map?

I read that more than half of Americans (of a certain age) are totally ignorant of US geography, much less world geography...
